Cannon Kristofferson, CADC II

Program Director



Raised in San Diego, Cannon has over 15 years of experience working in the recovery community. His extensive experience includes direct work with at-risk young adults through the city of San Diego, supporting veterans suffering from co-occurring substance abuse, PTSD, and other mental health issues, and individual client work within the LGBT community, where he received important trauma, ethics, and tolerance training. He graduated with honors from the University of California at San Diego’s Drug and Alcohol Certification Program. Cannon has been a leader in addressing the opioid epidemic by offering his knowledge and expertise to the FBI and San Diego’s Opioid Addiction Task Force. Cannon’s personal journey of recovery as a young adult offers him a unique perspective and understanding that provides hope and encouragement to Mare’s House members. In his free time, Cannon enjoys sharing his lifelong love of surfing and the ocean with his family.
