Jacob Alatriste

Mentor

Jacob’s life experiences perfectly coincide with The Grounds’ mission of building accountability and balance through hard work, solid relationships and persistence. He has endured foster care, served honorably for four years in the US Army, has fought in Operation Iraqi Freedom, overcome homelessness, graduated from an accredited university with a bachelor of science in film, worked in sales and managed a sober living home. Jacob is living proof that “it’s not about how hard you hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.” Currently, Jacob works nights at The Grounds where he manages to juggle his nighttime duties while working on his screenplay.
